Layout & Containers

The Container section controls the overall page layout — content width, container style, logo dimensions, and sidebar width. Find it at Appearance → Customize → Container.

Container style

Two layout styles are available:

  • Separate Containers — the header, content area, and footer each float as distinct boxes with a gap between them, separated by the body background color. This gives a "card" feel.
  • One Container — the header, content, and footer merge into one continuous white column. When this is selected, single posts get an additional option to position the post title inside or outside the container.

Sidebar layout

The sidebar position is configured in the Sidebar section (requires license). You can independently choose the sidebar position for:

  • Blog / Archive pages
  • Single Posts
  • Static Pages
  • Homepage

Options for each context: Left Sidebar, No Sidebar (full width), Right Sidebar.

Enable Sticky Sidebar to make the sidebar column stick to the top of the viewport as the user scrolls through long content.

Image sizes

Tabule Theme registers three custom image sizes that WordPress will generate when images are uploaded or regenerated:

  • tbl-hero — 1920 × 960 px (hard crop) — used for hero background images.
  • tbl-featured — 1200 × 675 px (hard crop) — used for post featured images.
  • tbl-card — 600 × 400 px (hard crop) — used for post grid cards.
💡

If you changed from another theme, use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to create the new sizes for existing images.
